Our story begins back in 1994, when a simple conversation with a high school instructor led me to one, single NDT class and my passion was found. I received my degree in Nondestructive Evaluation in 1998 and began a job with a small outfit in South Holland, IL. There, I gained experience, knowledge, and certifications in Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy Current Testing, and Radiography. Taking that experience to another level, in 2005, I became certified through AWS as a Certified Weld Inspector. Except that wasn't good enough. So over the next 3 years, I secured certifications through ICC as a special inspector in Reinforced Concrete, Structural Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Structural Masonry, and Soils, earning me the Master of Special Inspection certification. Through AWS I also hold endorsement certifications in D1.5 Bridge Welding, Structural Bolting, and Structural Drawing Reading. I have also been previously certified through 3M as a Firestopping Installer, Trainer, and Inspector. Over the last 30 years, and thousands of job sites, my knowledge continues to grow. My new passion is spreading that knowledge to my colleagues and counterparts to ensure a safe working atmosphere and to produce the best quality product.
